EQUESTRIAN TALENT SEARCH wants to do for high school riders what football and basketball coaches camps have done for those sports. “Combines” allow young athletes to be taught, seen, and evaluated by college coaches in intensive weekend instructional / competition clinics. Equestrian Talent Search is the clearing house for young riders and their parents to get information to help them understand exactly what college equestrian is about, how to become involved, and how to find a “good fit” program. Charles "Charlie" Walker, 59, of Taneytown, MD passed away Sunday Feb. 21.
He had been battling cancer.
Charlie's business was Walker's Quality Fencing and Custom Horse Jumps. He gave up the fencing business several years ago to concentrate on the jump business. He made, sold, and rented jumps. He was at one time a MHSA member, and rode jumpers until the mid 80's. He also did some blacksmithing at one point in time. Charlie was also an avid golfer and a member of Wakefield Valley Golf Club in Westminster. Viewings will be Thurs. Feb 25 from 3:00 - 5:00 & from 7:00 - 9:00 @ Eline's Funeral Home in Reisterstown. The funeral will also be at Eline's Fri. Feb. 26 @ 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to:
